Contest

CSI
is pleased to announce we are now accepting entries
in the Second Annual Equine Images Photography Contest!
Please
read the RULES
carefully before entering!
|
Photo
Categories:
Performance:
Sport Horse performance in motion (i.e. Dressage,
jumping events, driving) in training, work or competition,
all breeds allowed.
Horses
and Humans: Show
the relationship between horse and human. Must show
horse(s) and human(s) interacting,
all breeds allowed.
Head
Study: One
or more horses, head only, no people,
all breeds allowed.
At
Liberty: Show
the horse in its natural environment: pasture, in
the wild, etc. May or may not be in motion, all breeds
allowed.
Mares
and/or Foals: Show
mares and or foals in any capacity, all breeds allowed.
Curly
Horses: Must
show evidence of curly coat or curly attributes.
Humor:
This category will be judged on the photographic
quality of the photo and also the ability to inspire
laughter! Keep in mind "humor" is subjective
but if your photo doesn't make you laugh out loud,
it may not tickle the judge's funny bone either!
Creative: This category will allow computer
alteration of images, either enhancement, combining
images, or any creative techniques you can imagine!
The entries will be judged on the quality of the photos
and the creativity of techniques applied to the photos
as well. The photographer must have taken all photos
used in this category.

Entry Deadline:
Electronic
Submissions & payment must be received no later
than July 15th 2009
Payment by check must be postmarked
no later than July 13th, 2009
Top
10 photos in each category will be posted on the CSI
web site
Winner’s
announced August 1st, 2009.

Judging:
The
contest entries will be judged by professional photographer
& photography instructor, Tracy Conroy. For more

Prizes:
Top
10 photos in each category would be loaded to the web
for public viewing. Final decisions would be made from
those top 10.
Amateur Division
Prizes:
Ribbons
will be awarded to the top 6 places in each amateur
category with email notification and photos displayed
on the web with their placing indicated.
Ribbons will be mailed to the participant with an award
certificate at the end of the contest
Judges feedback will be available for top entries
Each Amateur Category first place winner
will be awarded a 1-year SmugMug
Power account ($59.95 value), or a year extension
to an existing Power Account.
A
BEST IN SHOW award will be given in both the
Pro & Amateur Divisions. Each BIS winner will receive
a gift certificate for a free Horse Action Shots online
course, taught by:
Professional
Division
Prizes:
First place in each category will receive
a check for 20% of proceeds received for that category.
Total winnings will depend upon the number of entries.
Placings and judges feedback will be available for top
entries and notified via email.
Each Professional Category first place winner
will be awarded a 1-year SmugMug
Pro account ($149.95 value), or a year extension
to an existing Pro Account.
A
BEST IN SHOW award will be given in both the
Pro & Amateur Divisions. Each BIS winner will receive
a gift certificate for a free Horse Action Shots online
